Traditional African masks have always played an important symbolic and ritualistic role in African culture. This Ghanaian Beaded Mask with Gold Accent is a stunning example of this traditional African artform. The large mask is bullet shaped with the exaggerated African facial features that are part of the theatricality of the mask. The face is black with gold accents. The headdress is made of orange beads with two large, interlocking black diamond shapes. The whole mask is bordered by gold triangles. The mask is approximately 7” wide and 18” tall. Made in Ghana.
