Description
Established in 1908 as a National Monument, Pinnacles slowly grew to 26,000 acres and was redesignated to a national park in 2013. The park’s famous pinnacles were formed 23 million years ago about 195 miles south east from where they are today. Due to plate movements, the pinnacles shifted to where the park stands today.
