Em Randall is a painter and illustrator based in Northern Michigan. Her work primarily focuses on figures who strike a balance between memory and myth, often inspired by folklore, personal nostalgia, and collective symbolism.
About this collection:
All six of these ETA pieces were made using scrap wood pieces leftover from larger wood shape paintings I cut by hand. I didn’t alter any of the scrap shapes to fit a concept, rather letting it work the other way around, making it a much more playful and improvisational process than I ever typically practice.
